Qualifying 1

Saturday, 17/02/24, 09.30 – 09.50, Weather: Sunny, 13°C

In this championship there are several free practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, then two qualifying sessions of 20 minutes each, and a total of three races of 30 minutes + 1 lap each.
The starting grid for the first race will be created in the order of the fastest qualifying time from Q1. The starting grid for the second race will be based on the 2nd fastest time per driver from Q1. The starting grid for the third race will be drawn up in the order of each driver's best qualifying time from Q2.

Our young drivers had some racing experience for the first time in Jerez a week ago, but qualifying with 38 vehicles on the track is always a big challenge, and even more difficult for less experienced drivers.
In any case, Valencia's time system also seemed to be overwhelmed and all times set in qualifying were declared invalid. The starting lineup was now put together from the combined rankings from the free practice sessions.

Race One (30 Min + 1 lap)

Saturday, 17/02/24, 14.35, Weather: Cloudy, 15°C

The start of the first race of the weekend went well, but an accident happened a few corners further and the safety car had to take over the field. Enea had got off to a good start and was already up in 16th place, while Adam had slipped several places back to 25th place. Edouard was 30th and Arthur was 33rd. Immediately after the restart, a vehicle went off track and stopped in the gravel trap, so the safety car had to be deployed again immediately. At the restart, Enea moved up to 15th place, Adam managed to improve to 22nd place. Arthur was able to surprise his colleague Edouard and moved ahead of him in 25th place. Following this Edouard was caught in a battle with two other drivers and ended up 28th. Now we had a race without any major incidents for a several laps until another accident occurred five minutes before the end. This time the race director showed the red flag, the drivers were led straight back into the pit lane and the race ended prematurely. In the end result, Enea brought home a good 15th place, Adam was 20th, Arthur 25th and Edouard 28th.

Race Two (30 Min + 1 lap)

Sunday, 18/02/24, 12.30, Weather: Sunny, 13°C

The starting grid for the second race was put together based on the fastest times per driver from the first race because the time system did not work in qualifying on Saturday. The start of the race went well, but an accident occurred on the second lap and the safety car had to be deployed. During the restart, another vehicle became stranded close to the track and the safety car immediately came into action again. At the restart, Arthur was in 18th place, Adam had moved up to 22nd place, Enea was 28th and Edouard was 29th. Adam soon managed to gain further places and he was now already behind Arthur in 19th place when a new safety car phase was necessary. Edouard, on the other hand, had a damaged front wing and had to have a new one fitted in the pitlane before he returned to the race. At the restart, Arthur moved up to 16th place, with Adam right behind him in 17th. Enea had moved up to 23rd position and Edouard was 29th. After a fourth safety car deployment, there was still a flying lap to the finish. At the last restart, Adam surprised Arthur and took 16th position. Arthur crossed the finish line right behind in 17th place, Enea had secured 21st place and Edouard saw the checkered flag in 29th place. All of our drivers mastered the many restarts well and brought their vehicles to the finish.

Race Three (30 Min + 1 lap)

Sunday, 18/02/24, 16.00, Weather: Sunny, 16°C

The sun was still shining for the third race here in Valencia. The large field set off on time. But soon two cars were stuck in the gravel trap and the safety car had to be deployed. Our drivers had got off well, Enea was 20th, Adam 21st, Arthur 23rd and Edouard 29th. At the restart Enea overtook the driver in front of him, Adam and Arthur also improved by one position, but due to a stranded car in the middle of the track Another safety car was deployed, although the car was soon able to make its own way to the pit lane again. At the restart, Enea moved up to 18th position in a very nice maneuver, but Adam and Arthur left the doors wide open and fell back to positions 22 and 23 respectively. Edouard was now 28th. Arthur went for an attack, but it ended in a spin for him. He was able to file back into the race far back in 30th position. Enea reached the finish in 18th place, Adam held the 22nd position until the end, Edouard finished 27th and Arthur 30th. All of our drivers brought their vehicles to the finish undamaged.
