BARNARD SHINES AT THE TESTS IN BARCELONA

Barely two weeks after the exciting race in Melbourne, Australia, the 10 teams of the FIA F3 Championship met on April 13^th and 14^th, 2023 for two official test days at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona. Pleasant spring weather accompanied the days.

On the first morning, Taylor managed to impress with the 4^th fastest time of the 30 drivers Nikita finished 22^nd and Alejandro 26^th. In the afternoon some different settings were tried out and race simulations were run. With all 30 drivers chasing times towards the end of the session, it wasn't easy to get a clear lap. Taylor classified 18^th, Nikita was 20^th and Alejandro 26^th.

On the second morning, Taylor impressively managed to improve on his time from the first morning. He was 2^nd before midday, Nikita and Alejandro had also improved and were now 18^th and 23^rd respectively. In the afternoon, our drivers once again achieved very good performances in the long runs. Taylor ended the session in excellent 2^nd place, Alejandro was a very good 5^th and Nikita ended the day in 27^th place.

The last two official test days of the season in Imola are scheduled for next week. After that, the FIA F3 Championship will travel to the remaining 8 European events in the supporting program of the FIA Formula 1 Grand Prix races. The remaining racing program begins with the first event in Imola, on the weekend of May 21, 2023.
