FIRST GP3 TESTS OF 2012 – JENZER BOYS QUICK

The GP3 teams met up on 21^st and 22^nd February for the first test days of the new season at the demanding Circuito do Estoril near Lisbon (P). 25 drivers were in attendance, with Robert Visoiu (ROM), Patric Niederhauser (CH) and Mathéo Tuscher (CH) driving for Jenzer Motorsport. The weather was very favourable and temperatures reached 20°C in the afternoon.

The first day was used to check all the components on the cars after the winter break and mainly demonstrated that those drivers who have already raced in the category for one or two seasons were at an advantage and thus faster than the rookies. Nevertheless, our boys did very well, with Mathéo ending the day 10^th and Robert 12^th. Problems with Patric’s car meant he only completed a handful of laps which didn’t enable him to set a representative time.

On the second day all of our drivers finished the morning session in the top ten: Patric was 7^th, Mathéo 8^th and Robert 10^th. In the afternoon the chase started all over again, with Partic finishing up in an excellent 2^nd place, Mathéo in 12^th and Robert 14^th.

The next official test days are on 12^th/13^th March in Barcelona (E) and 11^th/12^th April at Silverstone (GB). The first race of the new season will be held as part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix program on 12^th/13^th May in Barcelona (E).
