Hideg with rookie podiums at the FWS F4 in Motorland Aragon
The FWS F4 Spanish Winter Series was very well received this year, and a total of 38 drivers registered. The third race weekend was held on the established Motorland Aragon race track.
Qualifying
Saturday, 02/03/24, 10.10 – 10.30 and 10.40 – 11.00, Weather: Overcast, 13°C
In this championship there are several free practice sessions on Thursday and Friday, then two qualifying sessions of 20 minutes each, and a total of three races of 30 minutes + 1 lap each.
The starting grid for the first race will be created in the order of the fastest qualifying time from Q1. The starting grid for the second race will be based on the 2nd fastest time per driver from Q1. The starting grid for the third race will be drawn up in the order of each driver's best qualifying time from Q2.
Saturday morning was cool and overcast and both qualifying sessions were held back to back. With 37 vehicles on the track, this was once again a big challenge for our four rookies. In addition, the officials were very strict with the assessment of track limits, and our drivers also had to have some of their times deleted.

Race One (30 Min + 1 lap)
Saturday, 02/03/24, 16.10, Weather: Overcast, 15°C
Immediately after the start of the first race of the weekend, the red flag was shown due to a collision between three vehicles at the start and all vehicles returned to the pit lane. The restart was then given behind the safety car. All of our drivers managed to continually improve. Adam moved up from 20th to 12th, Arthur managed to improve from 24th to 18th. Enea and Edouard also steadily moved forward. Enea ended up 24th and Edouard was ranked directly behind him in 25th. After a driver got stuck in an unfortunate spot in the gravel trap five minutes before the end of the race, the red flag was immediately shown again and the race ended prematurely.

Race Two (30 Min + 1 lap)
Sunday, 03/03/24, 10.00, Weather: Overcast, 8°C
The race started on a cool Sunday morning. There were a few interruptions, but our drivers managed to keep improving. Adam had moved into the top ten, made no mistakes at the restart and ultimately brought his vehicle to the finish line in 7th place. This also meant third place in the rookie classification and a deserved first podium for Adam. Enea and Arthur had also made good progress and were not far away from the top ten in 11th and 12th place respectively. But at the last restart they were both involved in accidents and fell back. Enea reached the finish in 16th place, Arthur was 21st. Edouard got off well and improved steadily. In the end he reached the finish in 25th place.

Race Three (30 Min + 1 lap)
Sunday, 03/03/24, 15.10, Weather: Overcast, 12°C
The third race of the weekend was held under overcast skies and with cool, strong winds. The start was good and the huge field set off. Positions were fiercely contested throughout the field and there was an accident. The safety car was deployed. At this point Adam was in 15th place, Enea was 18th, Arthur 28th and Edouardo 31st. After the restart there was another hard fight for positions. Shortly before the end, the safety car had to be deployed again, and after that only one lap of the race remained. Adam crossed the finish line in a very good 11th place, Enea wasn't far behind and finished 16th. Edouard finished 25th, and Arthur ended up 27th.
After the race, a penalty was given to the driver ahead of Adam. Adam thus moved into the top ten again and thus into the points, and already achieved a second rookie podium! Our other drivers also benefited and advanced.
